Fruit Facial Recipes

By Marlene Daniels

Mashed, juiced, grated or sliced, fresh fruits and vegetables are incredibly beneficial to the skin. They are complex blends of natural chemical substances which make available to you such things as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, fruit acids, enzymes and water all which are beneficial for treating your skin. Fresh fruits and vegetables are best used in treatment masks.

BEAUTY MASKS; Why? Use a mask regularly to revitalise your skin. They are used to clean the skin, absorb excess oil, remove dead skin cells, soften blackheads, heal damaged or blemished skin, stimulate the circulation in the skin and stimulate healthy cell regeneration, nourish, moisturise, hydrate and soothe your skin and improve skin colour and tone.

How to use; Mix your preparation into a smooth paste and apply in thin layer to a clean damp face. Leave it on for approximately 15 minutes. If your skin is dry or sensitive do not allow the mask to dry out on your skin. Spray or sponge the mask with water whenever you feel it beginning to dry. A small amount of vegetable oil may be added to the mask to prevent it from drying out. Rinse well with warm water, tone with an herbal toner and apply a rich moisturiser.

Paw-paw or papaya is used in face and body masks as a very gentle exfoliant. It contains the enzyme papain which has the ability to dissolve keratin and hence our dead surface skin cells. Green paw-paw contains more of this enzyme.

Peach and Pear slices, juice or pulp can be used to soothe, soften and hydrate dry skin.

Pineapple flesh or juice is used in the face and body masks as an exfoliant. It contains the enzyme bromelain which has the ability to dissolve keratin and hence dead surface skin cells.

Every woman likes to be beautiful, young and charming. When it comes to beauty, the first thing women should factor is their diet. It has a huge impact on their beauty, appearance and overall appeal.

Generally people assume that a diet is only meant for maintaining proper body shape and figure, but the truth is - what we eat has a lot to do with how beautiful and healthy our body looks and feels.

The quality and appeal of our skin depends upon what we eat and how we eat. The best things that can get into your mouth to make you beautiful are fruits.

Fruits are the best for helping a woman get back to good shape. They can be helpful in various ways. Fruits are not only good for your skin, but it is also tremendously beneficial for your hair, which is why they are always suggested by doctors and nutritionists for inclusion in your diet.

Lemons: A common fruit found in nearly every kitchen. It is the most important and effective fruit which can help you in more than one way. It can be used as a soap, shampoo or deodorant. It also softens the skin in the relatively "hard" areas of your body, such as the elbows. Using a few drops in your bathing water can make you feel fresh for the rest of the day.

Banana: can be used for any type of skin, and they are also considerably rich in proteins. A mashed banana can be used just like a generic cosmetic face pack which you will find in the markets today.

Mix a little honey with mashed bananas, and apply this concoction to your hair to see a noticeable difference in as little as a week's time.

Papaya: is a fruit which is rich in enzymes, which in turn makes it the best way to thoroughly cleanse your skin of all settled impurities. Use caution though - only apply it on non-sensitive areas.

Aloe oil mixed with mashed papaya is universally considered to be the best treatment to get glowing skin. Restrict this treatment to once in a month.

Peaches: Looking to cleanse your skin by getting rid of all dry deal cells? Peaches is the best fruit to do just that. Make a paste of mashed fresh peaches, combined with a spoon of yogurt, and apply it to your skin. Wash it off with water and see the result for yourself.

Apples: An apple a day does more than just keep the doctor away, in fact, it also helps to give you glowing, beautiful skin. Mixing apple juice with your bathing water can help you in getting soft and clean skin in no time. It also helps you to ensure that your hair are dandruff-free. Use it after shampooing for best results.

25 Natural Skin Care Tips For a Perfect Complexion

By Steve Paul

These days there are countless tips, techniques and miracle acne cures floating around in cyber space. Let me help you sort through the muck! In this article, I've highlighted the 25 most important natural skin care tips that will truly change your skin for the better and give you the complexion you've always desired.

Find out what food sensitivities you have. This is best done by using the Elisa testing technique. Once you find out the culprits avoid those foods at all costs and watch your skin almost instantly improve.

Stay away from dairy. The consumption of dairy is often the cause of many negative skin conditions.

Avoid red meat. All types of red meat will slow digestions making it hard for your body to expel toxins. This will undoubtedly result in poor skin.

Don't Smoke. Not only is smoking bad for your overall health, but it will also turn your skin yellow and cause breakouts.

Avoid alcohol. The liver has the important job of removing toxins from our system. Alcohol prevents the liver from fully performing its job.

Incorporate all natural Aloe Vera gel (I'm talking straight from the plant) into your skin care regimen. Aloe Vera is one of the very best all natural skin care nutrients on the planet! Use it, and see the incredible results.
Don't touch your face throughout the day. If you practice natural organic skin care techniques and do everything else right, but still touch your face throughout the day, your acne may still be prevalent.

Get plenty of vitamin A into your diet naturally. Although supplementation does have its place, acquiring vitamins organically will offer the best skin care improvements. Here's a tip: Eat a ton of carrots!

Keep your hair away from your face. When hair that retains oil is constantly touching your face it could cause breakouts.

Get at least 8 hours of sleep each night. The body uses the time that you are sleeping to expel acne causing toxins.

Wash your pillow case daily. Each night as you sleep, oil from your hair and face will transfer onto your pillow case. This case can be the perfect breading ground for acne causing bacteria.

Wash your face no more then 2 times a day. A huge mistake that many people who suffer from acne make is washing their face too often. If you strip away all the oils from your skin, more acne causing sebum will be produced in the long run. Remember, you can't wash away acne!

Use a sunscreen (SPF 15 or greater) whether it's rainy, cloudy, winter or summer! No matter what, protect your skin from damaging UV rays. They're always there, no matter what time of year or what type of weather.

Limit stress. Stress increases the production of hormones which cause acne. Also, the more stress you experience, the harder it is for your body to heal.

Get your digestion under control by performing a colon cleanse biannually. Proper digestion is essential for clear and beautiful skin.

Eat plenty of raw fruits and vegetables. This is a great way to get a large variety of skin healing nutrients into your diet naturally.

Know your skin type and act accordingly. Different products, moisturizers and natural skin care recipes should be used depending on your skin type.

Don't consume any hydrogenated fats or oils (this means absolutely no margarine!). Your skin will never clear up without ridding your diet of harmful substances like hydrogenated fats or oils.

Beware of fragrances that make you break out. Believe it or not, some perfumes and fragrances can actually cause breakouts.

Get plenty of exercise. Physical exercise is extremely important for clearing acne as it reduces stress significantly.

Stay hydrated by drinking at least 64 ounces of water each day. Water is a key component in removing toxins from the body.

Use a mild abrasive soap once a day to remove dead skin cells. Dead skin cells can clog pores and cause breakouts if they are not removed.

Take a high quality multivitamin. Getting all the skin care vitamins into your diet each and every day is difficult to do naturally. Taking a high quality multivitamin will ensure that no nutrient has been left out.

Use natural organic skin care makeup. Many prominent makeup brands use a formula that will clog pores and cause acne. Be sure to use all natural makeup or better yet... no makeup at all.

Use all natural homemade soap. Store bought skin care products can incorporate damaging synthetics that will often make your skin condition worse. The only way to know for sure that what you are putting on your skin is 100% all natural and chemical free is to make the skin care products yourself.

Now it's time that you put these natural skin care tips into practice. I just know that you will love the results!

6 Tips For High Quality Natural Skin Care - For Free

By Peter Wilson

Natural skin care products are top sellers in the skin care market. More and more people are recognizing that the chemicals used in big brand name skin care products are not good for us, or our skin, and turning to natural alternatives, both for skin care products, hair care products and cosmetics.

Here's 6 skin care tips for getting healthy good looking skin, for free. Because although the best natural skin care and anti aging products are spectacularly effective, there is more that you can do than just using organic skin care products.

1. Improve your diet.
Like it or not, our diet affects our entire body, and our skin. Our skin is an organ of our body like any other organ, and like the other organs our skin can get unhealthy from an unhealthy diet. But as everyone sees your skin it's a highly visible result of a poor diet.

This applies to all skin types, whether you have oily skin or dry skin or or any skin type, poor diet will affect the health, and look, of your skin. Skip the burgers and pizzas in favor of fruit and vegetables and your skin will look way better, and you'll be healthier.

2. Avoid big brand name cosmetics and skin care products. These products, including such things as hair care treatments, hair removal treatments, popular cosmetics, many facial and body care products and more contain chemicals that can both be harmful to your health and also damaging to your skin. Ironically, skin care products and cosmetics can actually cause skin problems. Junk your big brand name products.

The author has personal experience with this. My young daughter was given traditional cosmetics by her ballet studio for her first ballet concert a few years ago, and immediately broke out in a nasty skin reaction. We now use our own (natural) cosmetics for her and there has been no repeat.

3. Make yourself stick to a regular exercise routine. Exercise improves blood circulation, and this is good for your skin, and for your whole body. Exercise has so many benefits it's hard to know where to start, and this includes improved skin health.

4. Pay attention to getting plenty of beneficial essential oils in your diet. This includes omega 3 which comes from eating fish as well as some other foods. Omega 3 is good for your skin, and your overall health. You can get omega 3 from good (natural) supplements, but if you're on a budget just find out which foods contain omega 3 and eat those. Do a little research and find a good source of omega 3 essential oil and include this in your diet regularly.

5. Drink plenty of water. Your body, as well as your skin, needs to stay hydrated. If you don't drink water this will impact your overall health as well as your skin health. Water is important for many things in your body, including skin health.

6. Start dry brush exfoliation. It sounds complicated, but exfoliation is just using a soft, dry brush to gently brush your skin. Why would you want to brush your skin? Dry brush exfoliation helps remove the dead skin cells that all of us have on the surface of our skin.

And you don't just brush the skin on your face either, you should brush your entire body. It is done by gently brushing in small circles from your feet right up to your face. Dry brush exfoliation also helps improve your blood circulation in your skin, and lymph circulation.

There's 6 things you can do for free to help improve your skin beauty routine. In fact you can even save some money, for example fruits and vegetables are usually cheaper than burgers and pizzas. And if you regularly do these 6 things they will improve your skin health over time, and you will see the results. And your body will thank you for it with improved health overall.

One last thing. Once you've junked your big brand name skin care products and cosmetics and hair and facial and body care products, find some high quality natural skin care products. They work better than the big brand name products (many of which do nothing at all), and they are made from safe non allergenic ingredients. Science is finding answers to skin aging and skin health, and they come from safe plant extracts such as shea butter and natural keratin.

Stay health, stay fit and stay hydrated and your skin will do the same.

Natural Skin Care Products - Tips to Beautiful Skin Naturally

By Kaye Barrett

If you have been looking at your skin and do not like what you see you could be considering using natural skin care products. You most likely know that using natural products on your skin is much better than putting chemicals on your face and body. The fewer chemicals we can put on your body the better!

As you search through the many different so-called natural skin care products that are available on the market you should not be fooled by their fancy advertisements and packaging. There are many of these products that may have some natural ingredients in them but a lot of the other ingredients in the products are not natural at all. You should make sure that you do your research on the product before purchasing

There are a couple of different ingredients that you may want to look for when it comes to natural skin care products. First scan through the list and see if there are any chemicals that stick out. If you see chemicals such as parabens, alcohols, fragrances and mineral oil in the list you can just ditch the product. These ingredients will make your skin dry and age it.

Whenever you see a product that is claiming a natural ingredient you should make sure that it is extracted from a plant. If it is man-made it is not natural no matter how pretty the package is or how many flowers are on the box. There are many great ingredients that come from plant extracts these are what you should be looking for. Natural products work on any skin type and will not make your skin too dry or too greasy.

Vitamin A is a popular ingredient in natural skin care products. I highly recommend that you use a product containing this ingredient. You should however make sure that the product does not use a synthetic version of Vitamin A. Also look for products which contain natural oils such as avocado, jojoba and grapeseed. These oils will naturally moisturize your skin making it soft, smooth and supple.   rel=nofollow Natural skin care products will rejuvenate and revitalize your skin making it look younger.

Your skin is a very important part of your body. It is the largest organ that you have and keeping it healthy is very important. You must make sure that you use the right products on your skin and do not irritate it. This is why using natural skin care products is so much better than using ones that contain chemicals.

Searching for natural skin care products is not difficult if you know what to look for. Read the ingredient list of any product before purchasing and ensure it does not contain harsh harmful ingredients that could make your skin worse than it is now. Hair is the Index of your Health Poor diet, illness and vitamin and mineral deficiency affects the quality of hair and causes problems like dandruff, thinning, hair, balding, premature graying, etc. In an individual the condition of the hair is a reflection of the complete constitution of him. If the person is not healthy then the health of the hair will be deplorable.

Regular use of herbal oil for hair not only controls hair loss but in many cases cures the problems from the roots. When massaged into the scalp it relaxes the mind, eases out stress and promotes sleep.

Massaging of hair & scalp with a proper nutrient hair oil gives additional nutrition to the scalp and prevents hair loss. Massaging also increases the blood circulation in the scalp & this keeps the hair roots strong. These extracts are highly effective, yet without the harmful effects of other medicines.

Hair oil manufacturers often add certain chemicals to oil to increase the fragrance. Best Lotion for Soft Skin - How to Choose the Best Body Lotion and Body Creams

By Byron Gasaway

Body lotion and other skin moisturizers and creams are made by manufacturers to feel and smell good, but is the lotion you buy actually good for your skin. Those fancy bottles and labeling are enticing. I know, my wife use to come home with them but later to find out that she can only use the lotion sparingly because it was too harsh for her skin to wear everyday. We started reading the product ingredients and found out that some of the ingredients comes from petroleum and other chemicals. That's when I took it upon myself too make my own lotion.

I started in my kitchen, perfecting my new craft. I tested the products on myself, friends and family. I then started E'Scentual Creations Bath & Body with a friend, and began selling to the public. We received several questions from customers about why their skin was so soft after using the lotion or the cream. It's no secret, the natural ingredients is what made the skin supple.

Picking the best body lotion or body cream is simple. Stay away from harsh chemicals and educate yourself on which chemicals do more harm to your skin. In this article I will give you some pointers on some of the ingredients to look for and some to stay away from.

Butters are important to skin because it provides the skin with omega 3 fatty acids, linoleic acid, vitamin e, beta-carotene, vitamin d and more. Some of the butters to look for in your product is shea, mango, cocoa and kukui. These butters are high in linoleic acid which are important for the metabolism of the skin and are exceptional for dry and damaged skin.

Carrier oils such as avocado, sunflower, apricot kernel, cherry kernel, and wheat germ, are essential to providing vitamins to your skin. Depending on the oil, they absorb quickly into the skin and provides the skin with nutrients for cell growth and firming of the skin.

Additives such as vitamin e, silk protein, panthenol and a few others are all great for skin care. Collagen on the other hand, topically applied, does nothing for the skin.

Harmful chemicals that customers should stay away from is mineral oil, propylene glycol family, lanolin, dibutylphthalate (probable carcinogen), diethylphthalate (probable carcinogen), butyl ester (probable carcinogen), iodopropynyl butylcarbamate (known carcingen), diazolidinyl urea (known formaldehyde releaser). I will go into further detail in another article later, but these chemicals can trigger skin reactions, irritation, and with severe cases of excess use stupors and seizures.

To sum it up, look for more natural ingredients in your lotion or body cream with less chemicals. Some chemicals are necessary to provide that gliding feel on your skin or emulsion but in very small amounts. Look for the natural oils and butters from the middle to the near top of your labels.

Soft Skin - Discover The Secret To Getting Soft Beautiful Skin

By Sharon McCarthy

Emollients will give you soft skin. Moisturizers sometimes contain emollients. Sometimes, they do not. There are several ingredients to look for if you want to soften and soothe. Here you will learn what they are and how they work.

The skin's softness is primarily related to its moisture content. A compound called sebum is produced by the skin's sebaceous glands and helps to hold moisture in. But we wash sebum away every time we wash our faces or take a shower.

Not bathing is out of the question. We would be social outcasts. The solution is to use a good body lotion and an excellent facial cream after every shower.

People sometimes wonder about the difference between facial cream and body lotion. Here's a simple answer. Your face is more likely to be roughened by the elements, because it is typically not covered by clothing. The rest of your body has some additional protection.

The heels, elbows and knees may need some extra help. There are no sebaceous glands on the soles of the feet, which includes the area of the heels. That makes it hard to have soft skin on your feet and heels.

The elbows and knees get a lot of friction due to clothing. The friction can cause them to become roughened. So there are many areas of the body that can benefit from emollients.

One of the recommended ingredients for facial creams is grape seed oil. It has a dual effect. It moisturizes and helps to hold moisture in by forming a thin invisible film.

Jojoba oil is a recommended ingredient for a body lotion, because it has the same effect as grape seed oil and provides other benefits. For example, jojoba helps to fade stretch marks.

Some emollients are humectants. Humectants increase the water-holding capacity of the skin's outer layers. Functional Keratin is a key ingredient for soft skin anywhere on the body. It has been shown to increase the skin's ability to retain moisture by over 18% after only 18 days of use.

Functional Keratin can only be found in some of the best facial creams and body lotions, but it is well worth your time to look for products containing it and to use them on a regular basis. They provide numerous anti-aging benefits including improved firmness and reduced wrinkles. So, you can have soft skin all over your body and maybe look a little younger, too.

Choose Skin Care Products As Per Skin Type

By Mahika Nayar

Models and actresses have always been objects of desire and subject to envy because of their beautiful body and flawless, smooth complexion. It is easy to give credit to the makeup as well as Photoshop, but this is not the complete truth. Celebrities follow a proper care regimen every single day, no matter how tired they are or how busy their work schedule is.

Now that you have decided to take care of your skin, do not jump on the next product that you lay your hands on or the product that your favorite celebrity is endorsing. To begin with, you need to determine your skin type and then you should select the best product that suits that type.

Wipe a tissue over your face first thing in the morning. People with oily skin are likely to have a shiny appearance with enlarged pores, and are prone to blackheads and blemishes. Therefore this type requires a lot of care as it can easily break into pimples and acne. Special formulated products, for oily skin, are available in the market which has ingredients that will reduce pimples and leave a soothing effect. A product with astringent and rose foe cleansing instead of soap is the safest bet. Water and gel based moisturizers, creams and sun screens are the ideal choices as they are non-greasy. Face-masks made of clay and sandalwood powder and mild exfoliators to remove black heads and dead cells are very good for oily skin.

A person with a combination skin type generally will have dry cheeks, but an oily t-zone. Caring for this skin type can be tricky due to the contrast in the texture. A mild cleanser is enough to clean the face. A product with an astringent is helpful to cleanse the oily portion of the face whereas applying moisturizer to the dry area is essential to avoid dry patches.

Fine lines, peeling, red patches and tightness, especially after cleansing are some of the indications of a dry skin. Dead cell accumulation makes your complexion look dull and hence it requires great care. Beauty care products like face wash; creams and moisturizers have to be chosen with great care so as to suit this skin type. If you have dry skin, don't forget to apply a night cream to keep it hydrated during the night. Products that contain hydrating ingredients like Aloe, Cucumber will give best results.

If you experience rashes and zits even with a minute of exposure to pollution, sun or dust, then you have a sensitive skin type. Due to the sensitive nature, buying appropriate skin care products can be an uphill task and it's only after few trial and errors that you are likely to get the best for your skin. Products devoid of dyes, fragrances or irritants are best suited for a sensitive skin type. Moisturizers, face wash that are water or gel based and contain cooling agents is apt in dealing with sensitive skin.

There was a time when unavailability of specialized skin care products resulted in people not taking proper care. With the growing health awareness and increasing demand, most large brands have products formulated to suit every one's needs. So there is no excuse that you can use to cover up your ignorance.

Choose the best skin care products to get rid of acne and pimples easily.

Top 3 Natural Hair Care Products

By Tracy Miles

Natural hair care products have the same potential to give you a voluminous mane that most chemical products offer. However, they also have the advantage of the absence of side effects that are associated with many of these chemical products. Quite a few people having experienced extensive hair fall and other problems associated with using chemical products have turned towards natural treatments.

Like your skin, your mane also requires a daily beauty regime for getting strong and healthy. This regimen will include proper cleansing, conditioning along with good quality hair shampoo and hair oil applications. So, when you are looking for the top four natural hair care products, choose from each of these three essential categories to stock up the best nature care available for you.

Best Natural Hair Oil

Oil keeps your locks soft and supple. When you have turned to natural products, this can sustain the health and volume of your mane for a long time. There are different types of natural hair oils that you can pick up according to your hair type. While you can choose Basil for oily hair, Peppermint oil will be beneficial for dry hair. If you want to pick up a product that goes with hair of any kind, select Clary Sage that suits all types.

Best Natural Shampoo

Shampoo is a thing that is necessary for taking care of your hair and yet its excessive use can get your beautiful locks damaged. You should be very cautious when choosing the shampoo. Picking up a shampoo made of natural ingredients is not only a great way to clean your scalp and keep it healthy, but it will also take good care of your hair in the long run.

Best Natural Hair Conditioners and Packs

A wide range of natural hair conditioners and hair packs are available in the market today. Due to the lack of time, most people prefer to pick up one natural product that is available readily. However, if you can spare a little amount of time, both hair conditioners and hair packs can be made at home. A mixture of henna and curd works both as natural hair pack and an excellent conditioner.

These are just 3 tips for natural hair care and you will be able to find countless recommendations for hair care products. When choosing the best solution for you, pay attention to your hair type before picking up anything as our hair are unique to us. All Natural Beauty Tips

By Louise Player

These are my top three tips to help you save money on expensive beauty products. By using these tips, you could save hundreds of dollars on beauty products that often don't meet your expectations. How often have you purchased a product that, after a couple of uses didn't suit you. Avoid making expensive mistakes and enjoy natural beauty care.

Tip #1. Hydrating your skin can make you look younger.

Alkaline water is more in balance with the cells in your body. Keeping your body hydrated on the inside as well as the outside, gives your skin a more youthful appearance. Tap water can leave harsh deposits on the skin and make it dry.

Drink 8 glasses of alkaline water per day. Avoid using tap water on your face, deposits in the water can have a very drying effect, which can make the skin look older. While your skin is still damp, after bathing or showering, use baby oil to lock in moisture.

Tip #2. Food Secrets for Beauitful Skin

Skin care products will not guarantee beautiful skin. It's eating the right foods and treating the skin from within that does the trick. The best-kept food secrets for beautiful skin are those that work best in making your skin radiate with a healthy glow.

Dark Chocolate which contains at least 60% cocoa and little or no sugar is the best for your skin. Cocoa is very rich in antioxidants that regulate blood flow to the skin, resulting in better hydration, protection from free radicals and prevention of wrinkles. Walnuts are a healthy source of Omega-3 and Vitamin E. Omega-3 can prevent high-cholesterol, heart diseases, arthritis, psoriasis, rosacea, and eczema. Vitamin E protects the skin from free radicals and strengthens the skin cells for a firmer, smoother skin. Sweet Potatoes are a great source of beta-carotene, which the body can converted into retinol. Retinol is very similar to collagen, which helps to keep the skin smooth and firm.

Tip #3. Make Your Own Natural Skin Care Products

You'll be amazed at the number of items already in your store cupboard that can be used to make great Natural Skin Care Products. Or that can be easily and cheap purchased from your local store. You may even have some growing in your kitchen garden.

Green Beans make a great face wash. Oatmeal can be used as a gentle face pack. Apple Cider Vinegar is really good for deep pore cleansing and removing excess oil. Egg whites are perfect for getting rid of acne.

This is just the tip of the iceberg; there is a wealth of information waiting for you. An amazing resource of natural ways to maintain your Health and Beauty.

I have been on a mission for a number of years to provide sensible and good value information to people. I hope this is what you have found here. http://readlouisesfavorites.com

Skin Care Tips - How to Take Care of Very Dry Skin!

By Annie Bower

If you are suffering from very dry and flaky skin then this means that you really need to find a way in which you can treat your skin so that it's back to a more touchable and soft state. You skin could be dry because of the season of the year, a change in your environment or it could be just a long term issue that you have to deal with constantly. No matter what the reason for your dry skin this condition can be treated and treated fairly easily.

One of the main things that your dry skin needs is a moisturizer. You need to make sure that the lotion you get has salicylic or alpha hydroxyl in it. These are key ingredients that your skin is looking for. These are going to help to hydrate your skin and having hydrated skin on a regular basis is what is going to give you soft and smooth skin. So if you have dry skin, you need to make sure that you put lotion on every time you get wet like after doing dishes, swimming, taking a shower, etc. You also should consider getting rid of the bar soap and using body wash instead to help further moisturize your skin. When you dry off you should pat off the water and don't scrub off roughly.

It's important to remember to try and exfoliate about every 2 to 3 days with a scrub that is going to help rid your skin of dead skin cells. If you use a scrub of some kind it's going to make all of your body including your elbows, your knees and your feet feel nice and soft. You can make your own body scrub with stuff from home like seal salt or sugar and adding one or the other to some olive oil or honey and then scrubbing your skin with that. Just gently rub on your skin and then rinse off. The oil will penetrate your skin at the same time the dry flakes are being scrubbed off.

You should try to keep your feet moist by wearing socks when you are at home and not both shoes and socks. When you get home you should take off your shoes and your socks and then wash your feet and then put a rich cream or lotion on, Vaseline is good, to put on your feet. Then you can put on some clean socks. Before going to bed you can take your socks off and then wipe off the Vaseline.

For really dry skin the best moisturizer that you can get is one that has an oil base to it. It's the oils in that moisturizer that is going to help put a protective layer on your skin and is going to help keep your face soft. You also should use a sunscreen when you go outside in the sun and it should be an SPF of 15 or higher so that you can cut down on the suns ability to dry out the skin even further.

During the winter months it might be a good idea for you to use a humidifier because heating over the months can add just extra dryness to the air which in turn is going to dry your skin even more. You should also make sure that you drink lots of water in order for you to keep your body and skin hydrated.

Hair Care Tips From Professional Stylists

By Lisa A Mason

Do you want to have salon perfect hair every day? It's possible when you follow the tips and advice from your stylist, or when you use the following hair care tips from professional stylists. You may think that your hair is just "there" and that as long as you get it cut into a certain style and keep it clean and conditioned it will always look great. In fact, there are many factors of your everyday life that can affect your hair and can cause even a great cut to look terrible.

Here are some professional tips to keep your locks looking their best.

Strip Product Buildup
At least once a month, use a vinegar rinse on your hair after you shampoo to remove styling product buildup that can cause your hair to appear dull and lifeless. Vinegar is a natural product that will lift away the buildup from each strand without drying or damaging your hair or hair color.

Get Hair Cuts
Even if you are in the process of going from a short style to a longer style, make sure you visit your stylist every 6 weeks for a shape up trim to keep you from having that terrible growing out stage where your hair just looks shaggy.

Drink Water and Eat Healthy
The vitamins and minerals you ingest as well as the amount of water you drink do affect the health of your hair and can either improve or stunt the growth process. The healthier you are, the healthier your hair will be.

Protect Your Hair
We all know that sun can be bad for our skin, but it can also damage your hair. So can chemicals and water treatments like chlorine in a swimming pool. Before swimming apply a thick coat of hair oil, and leave it in your hair. This will help repel the chemicals and keep them from interacting with your color or causing your hair to dry out. There are several leave in conditioner products that will also help protect your hair from the sun.

Avoid Heated Styling Tools
Heated tools such as flat irons, blow dryers and curling irons damage your hair. When possible let your hair air dry and don't style it. Even if it's only once a week, this can help the condition of your hair.

In between visits to the salon, taking care of your hair will make you not only look better but will also make your stylist's job easier and can save you a lot of money on deep conditioning treatments. You certainly don't want to put off a coloring because your hair is so damaged.

Here are several hair care recipes that are easy and economical to make, and it's kind of cool to go green and look great at the same time!

Hair Spray for Fine Hair

Ingredients:

1 chopped up lemon or orange

1 cups of water

1 oz. bay rum (this preserves the mixture)

On the stove, in a double boiler, boil chopped lemon and water. Simmer, add bay rum and reduce the liquid by about half, then strain through a cheesecloth and pour into a spritz bottle. Add extra water to thin if you wish.

This is great for fine hair and gentle enough for children's hair. Make it fresh and store in fridge.

Treatment for Chlorine Damaged

Ingredients:

Egg

1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil

1/4 of a peeled cucumber

Blend the egg, olive oil and cucumber into a spread and apply mixture thoroughly into your hair. Leave on for 10 minutes and rinse.

If you swim year round repeat applications monthly.

Rinse for Shiny glossy hair

Ingredients:

1 oz. wine vinegar

6 oz. bottled water

10 to 12 drops of essential oils (jasmine, lavender, rosemary)

Pour mixture over hair after shampooing and rinsing and massage into your scalp. Rinse with clean water (cool if possible). Repeat three times a week as needed to restore luster to dry hair.

The vinegar helps restore the natural pH balance of your scalp to combat dry, dull hair.

Frizz Taming Conditioner

1 egg

Mix egg and yogurt into a bowl and massage into your head after shampooing. Work it from root to tips and make sure you have everything coated. Rejuvenating Hair Brush Treatment

Ingredients:

1 oz. oil of Rosemary

1/8 oz. oil of Lavender

Just mix the two oils together and store in a small dark vial or bottle. Before brushing your hair, put a few drops on your palm and rub your clean hairbrush into it. Brush your hair 100 times (no it's not just an old wives tale) standing both upright and hanging your head upside down. After each brush follow through with your other hand, this will help eliminate static electricity.

This mixture should last about 6 months and is guaranteed to give you healthy, shiny hair.

Dry Hair Moisturizing Shampoo

Ingredients:

cup of Liquid Castile soap (or baby shampoo)

 cup of mashed avocado

Blend this mixture on medium until smooth, then apply to thoroughly wet hair as you would any other shampoo. Massage into the scalp and work to the ends of the hair. Add a little more water and work into a lather and rinse as usual.

The avocado in this treatment helps to deliver to your hair, which you need to strengthen and moisturize. You can shampoo as often as you like with this mild shampoo mixture.

Natural Ingredients - Are They Really Better For Your Skin and Hair?

By Sonia Evelyn

Today we find a growing number of cosmetics screaming out the benefits of their natural ingredients enticing us to part with our hard earned pennies. As we strive for healthier looking skin and hair through the associated benefits of such naturals ingredients, the story seems incredibly plausible. However, while the discerning shopper may be super equipped to spot a paraben or a sulphate, how many of us really understand what's in our cosmetics.

As we search for answers to keep us staying young and beautiful, cosmetic companies heavily sell us the story of bio-actives, extracts, organics, botanics, herbal and the like. Yes, those lovely exotic ingredients, from far away shores with the potential to relieve all our problems and transform us into visions of loveliness.

As a manufacturer myself, I would like to share a few tips to help you make more informed choices.

These natural ingredients more often than not are processed so much that by the time they get to into your product, their potency has somewhat diminished if at all existent and bares very little resemblance to its original form.

Natural extracts need to be mixed with other chemicals, leached or masticated to be preserved. Often the preservatives used can be harsher than a regular synthetic product. Sometimes the extract will be preserved in oils and so avoid the heavy preservative.

Some natural ingredients such as clays can be also be unpredictable. Their potency and effectiveness can differ considerably, depending on a variety of growing conditions, such the soil and weather.

Finally always read your labels to see how high in the ingredients list your yummy ingredients feature. As a rule of thumb, I would say with any natural products worth its salt, if you can't grow or drink the first three ingredients, then maybe look somewhere else.

There is currently no definition of natural in the UK, so cosmetics only need to contain 1% of natural ingredients to be called natural. So try not to put all your focus on the marketing hype around the bamboo, yucca and shea butter, you may actually be buying a 99% synthetic product. Instead look for products which are certified or have listed their percentage of natural. That way you know you're getting value for money. However, beware there are many organisations stamping products as natural all with differing criteria. Help though is at hand for the consumer, with Ecocert working to unify certification. So hopefully, the minefield of natural ingredients will finally be more consumer friendly simplifying choices when what natural really means.

Important Skin Care Tips For Young and Healthy Skin

By Celeste Lynne

If you're serious about your skin care, you've probably heard all of the skin care tips that involve creams, lotions and sometimes even chemical treatments. After all, skin care products are everywhere you look.

Let's talk about a different type of tips, though. Let's look at tips for helping yourself, in addition to creams and ointments. After all, no cream will compensate for not caring for your skin properly.

Hydration

Hydration, in other words, getting enough water, is very important to your general health. Since your skin is the outer indicator of your inner health, if you're not well hydrated, your skin is usually one of the first parts of your body to suffer.

Of course you can, and probably should, use a moisturizing cream on your skin. It won't work its best if you don't support it, though. That means drinking plenty of water.

Now, you might think water is the same thing as "wet stuff", but all liquids aren't created equal. Decaffeinated herbal tea, regular water and flavored waters can all be great for you. They'll keep you hydrated and healthy.

On the other hand, alcoholic or caffeine-rich drinks just dehydrate you. So, you should only drink those in moderation. You should also compensate, when you do drink them, by also drinking more water. Some caffeine-rich drinks include carbonated drinks, coffee, of course, hot cocoa and energy drinks.

Smoking

If you smoke, the good news is that you don't even have to worry about skin care. The bad news, though, is that it's because no skin care products can prevent the damage caused by smoking.

Damage caused by smoking includes dry skin and wrinkles. Besides those, though, it can discolor your skin. It can also cause skin cancer. Up against all of that, it's no wonder that skin care products won't be able to help you. So, if you want better skin, first you'll need to kick a smoking habit, if you have one.

Stress and Skin Health

Stress management is also really important. When you get stressed, the chemical balance in your body is altered. That can create alls sorts of skin problems, like excessive sweating, acne, eczema and psoriasis, just to name a few.

One of the skin care tips that a lot of people don't pay attention to is stress management. It's absolutely vital, though. So, if you can manage your stress, you'll be well on your way to healthier skin. It's difficult, but it's worth it in the long run.

Do you have good skin care habits but still need some help with your skin's appearance? For top quality anti aging skin care, [http://www.healthyskincaretreatments.com/LifeCell-Anti-Wrinkle-Cream-All-In-One-Anti-Aging-Skin-Care.html]LifeCell cream is one of the best. In fact, in as little as 5 minutes from your first application of LifeCell cream you'll see a difference. It's pretty amazing and best of all, it comes with one of the best guarantees I've ever seen.

8 Honey Beauty Tips

By Lesley Dietschy

According to the dictionary, honey is a sweet yellowish or brownish fluid produced by various bees from the nectar of flowers. Besides using honey as food, did you know that honey is one of the oldest and most effective beauty aids?

Honey contains waxes, sugars, and traces of minerals. It is a natural moisturizer, as well as an anti-irritant making it suitable for sensitive skin types. Honey can be found in many of the beauty products you find in your local drug store or favorite beauty supply store. Some of these products can be very expensive to purchase and many of these products can be made at home.

Try some of the following honey beauty tips below. Please be sure not to use honey on your skin if you are allergic to it!

1. Honey mask: Apply pure honey to your face and allow it to set until dry. This will take about 15 minutes. Once dry, rinse your face with warm water.

2. Body glow bath: To moisturize, smooth, and get an all over body glow, keep a jar of honey next to your bath. Apply honey on your skin and pat dry using both hands. While patting your skin, the honey will get sticky and gently pull up your skin. Rinse away the honey when you are done. The results will be great circulation and beautiful, glowing skin!

3. Honey bath: For sweet smelling and soft skin, add ¼ to ½ cup of honey to your bath water.

4. Honey scrub: Mix 1 teaspoon of honey with a little almond flour into the palm of your hand. Gently apply on your face for a facial scrub. Rinse your face with warm water to remove honey scrub.

5. Daily facial cleanser: Mix 1 teaspoon of honey with a little milk powder into the palm of your hand. Apply on your face to clean away dirt and makeup and then rinse with warm water.

6. Shiny Hair: To add some shine to your hair, mix 1 teaspoon of honey, a squeeze of fresh lemon, and 1 quart of warm water. Shampoo your hair as usual and then pour the honey mixture on your hair. Allow your hair to dry as normal. You do not have to rinse out the honey mixture.

7. Hair conditioner: For healthy hair and scalp, combine ½ cup of honey and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Saturate your hair with the honey mixture, put on a shower cap and allow it to remain on hair for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, shampoo and rinse your hair as you normally do.

8. Skin toner: To firm, smooth, and moisturize your skin, combine 1 peeled, cored apple with 1 tablespoon of honey in a blender. Pulse honey mixture until smooth. Gently apply honey mixture on face and allow it to remain for 15 minutes. Rinse your face with warm water to remove the honey mixture.

With the above beauty tips, you can create affordable spa-like products at home. Honey is a wonderful beauty product because it contains naturally occurring enzymes, vitamins, and minerals. Be sure your honey is all natural by purchasing only 100% pure honey to create your beauty products.

12 Free Beauty Tips- Make-Up And Cosmetics

By Mike Jones

Use these 12 free beauty tips to ensure you get the maximum benefit from your choice of make-up and cosmetics:

Free Beauty Tip #1:

When shopping for lip color and eye shadow, put a clean sheet of white paper in your bag. New lip colors can be tested on the paper along with a strip of eye shadow. You can then examine the colors in daylight outside, away from the artificial lighting in the store.

 Free Beauty Tip #2:

Fragrance: Use two light formulas together to lock a scent in rather than a heavy application of one fragrance which can overwhelm those close to you. Using a scented body cream and then lightly spraying with an eau de toilette or parfum of the same scent will still result in a long-lasting effect.

 Free Beauty Tip #3:

Just use regular cold cream to remove oil-based makeup.

 Free Beauty Tip #4:

Make your nails seem more slender by applying a dark nail varnish down the center part of the nail being careful not to take it right to the edge of the sides of nail.

 Free Beauty Tip #5:

When testing the color of a foundation and you are already wearing a foundation, use the areas on your neck or inner arm. The skin tone in these areas matches the face more closely than the hands and a better judgment can be made.

 Free Beauty Tip #6:

To find the best spot to apply blush, smile widely, take note of where the cheek rises to a round shape. This lifted part of the cheek is the best place for blush to look natural as a flush will often color this area of the cheek.

 Free Beauty Tip #7:

For concealer to last many hours, be sure to apply it in small amounts at a time in two or three layers. This technique guarantees long wear.

 Free Beauty Tip #8:

With oily skin, avoid toners that contain alcohol as these can dry out the skin and block impurities beneath the surface. To avoid over drying the skin use toners containing AHA's. They help to smooth the skin's texture.

 Free Beauty Tip #9:

Every so often gather all the make-up you have from various places and do an analysis. Be ruthless and throw out anything over two years old, that has a musty odor, that is messy or runny, where liquids have separated, or anything that is dirty or falling apart such as sponges and brushes. By optimizing in this way you can purchase new supplies where needed and keep your make-up kit in top condition.

 Free Beauty Tip #10.

If you have oily skin, use very little moisturizer or, if possible, none at all. Too much moisturizer on oily skin can cause makeup to slide away.

 Free Beauty Tip #11:

If lip lines are a problem, apply lipstick vertically instead of horizontally.

 Free Beauty Tip #12:

When removing makeup, take a Q-tip which has been dipped in a non-oily remover and run it over the eyelashes to take off any remaining mascara.

How To Get Healthy Skin - What 5 Foods To Eat

It is obvious but eating well will only improve the health of your skin. Foods that you should avoid include sugary treats and dairy products but here are five foods that will improve your skin and the rest of your body.

Water - Ok not really a food but important as it helps keep your skin hydrated which is important to skin elasticity.

Blueberries - This fruit is high in antioxidants and helps purge free radicals from the body that causes damage to the skin.

Walnuts - Walnuts are high in fatty acids, protein and fiber which helps protect the skin and keeps it supple.

Green Tea - Green tea has anti-inflammatory properties and is rich in polyphenols too.

Whole Wheat Bread - Great for skin health as it contains selenium. Selenium (a derivative of vitamin C) is a mineral that is beneficial to protecting skin cells and can actively improve skin damaged by the sun.

Sunscreen - I know you have heard this before but it really is good advice. Use this and protect yourself from sunburn, UV light and the harmful and aging effects of the sun's rays.

Use Moisturizer - You need to keep your skin hydrated so it can heal and recover properly from day-to-day damage.

Tanning Machines - What you are doing is allowing artificial UV rays to bombard your body. The Word Health Organization states that no one under the age of 18 should use a sun bed as it is only going to damage your skin.

Vitamin Intake - Any person can take vitamin E which can undo the damage to the skin through exposure to the sun. For women it is recommended that you use Evening Primrose Oil as it promotes skin health and can help reduce acne.

Get Some Exercise - If you exercise then it helps the cardiovascular system and introduces more oxygen to the skin thus helping it keep its elasticity and as a bonus can help reduce wrinkles too.
